Tax Year End 2015

Today is the last day for people to complete their 2013/14 tax return. Hopefully most people are all done by now, but I’m sure that more than a few accountants will get last minute calls today!

Now is a good time to start thinking about this tax year which ends in 64 days. This year 5 April falls on a Sunday and the Friday before is Good Friday, so as of today (31 January) there are only 44 working days or 10 weekends to go!

In my latest article for EQ Investors I have put together 10 things to be thinking about in the lead up to the tax year end. There are some sensible things like making sure you have enough money to cover emergencies and paying off expensive debts. However there are a few tax planning opportunities (and traps) which would need action before the end of this tax year.

Please check out the article and have a browse of the site. There are also a few practical case studies to help illustrate matters.

If you have any questions do get in contact with the company I work for and ask to speak to one of the Consultants. Please mention that you came via my site, but unfortunately I am not personally authorised to give Financial Advice.
